I’m having all kinds of people on Facebook tell me that I absolutely need to download a bunch of VSTs and invest in a controller, but if you have a synthesizer with MIDI capabilities, aren’t you basically hitting two birds with one stone?

I want to be able to manually create my own sounds as well as use it as a MIDI controller. The idea of having just a MIDI controller is mundane, because if I want to use it for live performance, I have to have it connected to a laptop, which is something I don’t have and something I don’t want to pay for.

We already have a microkorg at our disposal, so I’d like to get something different. Any suggestions?
